Sage Accpac ERP General Ledger (GL) is the core of the Sage Accpac ERP financial management suite. Its built-in flexibility meets the current and future financial needs of all types of organizations. GL offers flexibility in the budget creation process by providing as many as five annual budgets per account, eight budgeting methods, and comprehensive actual vs. budget reporting analysis. GL supports multi segmented account codes and structures, delivering support for even the most complex chart of accounts and reporting.

The “provisional posting” feature allows you to temporarily post GL data, create a “what if” analysis, and then include that information on your reports. Provisionally posted data can be easily reversed without impacting the integrity of your audit trail. You can capture non-financial information such as statistics for a GL transaction. Using this feature, you can track, report on, and analyze details of your business such as square footage, units, head count, or any other unit of measure that matters to your business.

Drilldown capabilities allow you to navigate back from the GL to the originating transaction and view complete transaction detail. You can trace transactions backward and forward throughout the accounting system. The powerful journal entry capabilities permit recurring, auto-reversing, and quick-entry transactions within GL. This automates processing of routine GL entries such as standard monthly transactions and accruals.
